Tarantino Build-a-novel
Pick the first five novels from your library or collection and stack them in whichever order you wish, then complete the following.
1. Pick up the first book from the top of the stack, write down the first sentence from the first chapter, then discard.
2. Pick up the third book (from original stack) and write down the third sentence from the third chapter, the discard.
3. Pick up the fourth book (from original stack) and write down the fourth sentence from the fourth chapter. Within the sentence, replace any noun that may be within it with a friend‘s name or a pop icon. If no pronouns are found, either improvise or ignore this portion of the third step. Discard book after completion of the third step.
4. Pick up the fifth book (from original stack) and write down the fifth sentence from the fifth chapter, add an exclamation mark at the end of your written sentence. Discard book after completion of the fourth step.
5. Pick up the second book (Which would be the last book left as well as the second from the original stack you made) and write down the second sentence from the second chapter, then discard.
James Cruesoe was in the club car of a train plummeting out of Chicago, rocking and swaying as if it were drunk, when the conductor, lurching by, glanced at the bar, gave Cruesoe a wink, and lurched on.
