cool skies
Jul. 4th, 2004 11:12 pmjust got back from the towncenter's fireworks display...ended up walking back, as the traffic getting out was horrible. i didn't mind much - surprisingly, as it was raining for practically the entire evening. shiny things to distract me from the damp, i guess.
the sight of all those fireworks was pretty amazing, but i actually better enjoyed the pre-show of lightning. it was awesome(in the original, non-slang meaning of the word), and i tried to capture it on film...guess i should know better than that. didn't have the patience to sit there with the camera pointed in one spot, shielding it from the rain...or rather, i did, but the lightning wasn't being cooperative.
though it may have been rained out, i'd say that this was one of the more beautiful fourths i can recall...at one point, after the heavy rain, there was a double-rainbow in the sky, and a little later on, different sections of the sky represented the primary colors...sunset/cloudy yellow(surprisingly bright!), angry/smokey red, and twilight blue(which looked pretty neat when surrounded by the black clouds)
ok, enough with my prattle about the weather...though i guess i don't have much else to talk about...hmmm...
